I looked back “Do we have everything?” I heard my friend, Ash call out as I locked my door.
“yep” replying with an equally loud voice. I checked again to make sure we had everything GPS, check, map, check, water bottles, check and lastly our metro-cards. Finally we started the quick walk to the Metro Station, scanning are cards. “Are you excited?” I nervously said, to be truthful I was feeling a little anxious. “Yeah it’ll be fun” they smiled.
We arrived at are destination after a short train ride it was a park surrounded by trees with a small pond in the corner. I brought out the GPS typing in the coordinates from my phone. Scanning the area for statues or memorial benches. Finding none I hand the GPS to them. “Okay we gotta go towards the pond”
“OK sounds good” I replied feeling better we knew where it was slightly better, after all Ash had gone on at least a dozen hunts. Reaching the edge of the pond I realized why the cache was placed here.
The sun was setting just enough to hit the pond and reflect the amber glow. “Woahh” gasped Ash
“That’s Awesome” i gasped out.
Now me and Ash go geocaching about three-four times a month. I’ll never forget how that increased my passion for geocaching.
