One windy spring morning me and my sister Kelly, where on are way to school when i saw a man digging a very tiny hole about the size of a pill bottle. I’ve always wondered about that man Mr.Douglas and his wife Mrs.Douglas their just always doing there own thing always outside mowing daily he’s always just been a fiddler, besides the fact. the hole he was digging was interesting very interesting. as we keep walking to school we heard the bell ring as we hustled into the class room come on Kelly run i said.
as we got in the classroom Ms.Daisy was taking roll. “Ryan” here i said with the door hitting me in the back. “late i see, that’s five vocab words next time it will be ten Ryan.” “yes mam i said” as i walked over to the shelf i grabbed a dictionary I looked on my paper for the list of word and one that started wit G caught my eye. it was the word geocache it sounded interesting the definition was a virtual treasure hunt. with me being the president of the adventure club it sounded interesting. as the bell rang at 2:45 i sprinted home forgetting i had a sister. i got home quickly opened the computer and typed in the word G-E-O-C-A-C-H-I-N-G, it brought up this website called geocaching for kids, it told me to sign up for free! and link it to a mobile phone such as my I-phone. as i did so mom got home “Ryan” ” yes mom “take out all the garbage’s” ” but i” “I don’t want to hear if and or but’s.” “i need to do this thing” “alright i’m tired of the back talk your grounded from everything for two weeks now go do it.”
As the night rolled around it was Friday night i waited until everyone was snug in their bed and i made my move. Through the hallway down the stars and to the living room what i didn’t notice was dad n the kitchen as i went to the laptop i hid behind the couch and waited for him to go to bed it was about 1:00 now and i needed to figure this out. i opened the tab of geocaching and made my account then went back to bed. as i woke up the next morning it was dreadful day without any thing sense it was a weekend i told m mom i had a meeting for the adventure club “where trying to get this new activity called geocaching” i said. “Okay then your home right away no fiddling around any where” ” yes ma”. “how did the meeting go” mom asked “it went really well it will be a thing next week but i need my phone for it.” “Okay well iv’e really liked your attitude today.”
that week came by really quick i got my phone back and opened up the geocaching app. i had a notification and i also say that i was really close to a geocache. i headed over to Mr.Douglass house and rang the doorbell. he opened an said ” hey there sport want to come in for cookies coffoe soda what ever you like”No thank you Mr.Douglas i would just like to Know if i could get the geocache out of your front yard” oh of course just sign it take whats out of it put something in it and reburrie it” OK sir thanks.” “no problem” i got the geocache and then looked at the notification it read come join us in new York finest tournament of the year we have cadres and fun activities for the whole family there’s only a few rules be safe have fun stay safe and play safe! oh and how could i forget brin gyour rain coats. with the reaserch I new you didnt have to bring a rain coat it just meant that your gps will shut off at a sertant point.
As we lined up on the starting pointthe guy with the megapgone said on your mark get set go. and every one ran as fast as they could to their first geocache. we we where the first to get all the geocaches. so we where standing on the first palce mark by the time the night was over we where rewarded with 4,000 dollars! and what we did with that money was make are own tournament for school thanks to the help off new yorks finest we did an awsome job on how to run are tournament.
