in new environments, some non-native plants can be a hassle and can potentially cause some serious issues the ecosystem. other times, they can live in peace with all of the other plants. there is no real answer as to why this happens, it’s just simply because some plants are not as hard to manage and are more tame.

some non-native plants can crowd out other (native) plants, killing them in the process. killing these plants multiplies when the insects that feed off these plants die because they have nothing else to eat. also, it causes the animals that eat this plant to move away and find somewhere else to live where it still grows. these are some negative things about non-native species.

some non-native plants and animals are not as wild or as hard to manage, either. these plants and animals actually do the ecosystem a favor. they do so by keeping the ecosystem balanced and diverse. every ecosystem needs different plants and animals so that not everything is the same. these non-native plants and animals do this job simply; all they need is some nourishment.

so, i guess some non-native plants are not as harmful as others is simply because it’s easier to control. as we learned, some plants are just more manageable than others, and that’s just the way it is. as i said before, ther is no real answer to this question, it’s just how the plants are. it is like how different people have different personalities, and i guess it’s the same way for plants. not every plant is the exact same because they are all different kinds of plants.
